What's up, folks... I'm born/bred outta LA, so if anyone can make detailed comparisons between the two, that'd be great. I'm [75%] sure I'll be relocating to Chicago for a job offer I got... but depending on your answer(s), it'll complete the other 25%. Do's and don'ts? Traffic laws/violations (how are the cops)? Ohh, and dining... Show me the ropes. I was told to stay out of the South Chicago area, fine with me. I read an article about Chicago having one of the highest toll of gunfire occasions in the country... Something about over 300+ victims. Moving on, I'm looking for a nice loft to move into... No more than $2,100 a month (with no roommates). Any suggestions? A completely nice area obviously... I'm a DJ, music/audio engineer, and a sound designer (and a huge video game geek)... Last thing I want is to put my equipment on the line for some stick-up kids to come and tax from me. Also, I'm a huge House of Blues fan... How's the HOB venue like in your city? [One of my most favorite artists is Common (before he released UMC... I am not a fan of that album at all.)] Anywho, enough blabbing... All help is MUCH appreciated! Thanks in advance, take care all!
